Loza Maternity Session | Pflugerville, Texas

When you meet a couple as sweet as Ashley and Carlos, it’s easy to remember why you fell in love with family photography specifically.

The Loza family is so beautiful, inside and out. They recently moved to Texas and I couldn’t be happier for them to be here! Their little girls, Mika and Mila are beyond adorable.

Getting to be a part of not only their first photoshoot in Texas, but this milestone in their relationship and life was truly special to me.

I love working with new clients and being included in their special moments. Capturing this time in their lives for them to cherish and look back on for years to come is what makes me love my job.

When Ashley let me know that she wanted to have their session at this park, I was beyond excited. It’s such a gorgeous place and I love how quiet it is.

The variety available at this park is one of the best parts of it but also how different it looks from so many other places nearby.

Loza family, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this beautiful and incredibly special time in your life. All four of you (soon to be five!), are amazing to meet and work with. I loved every moment of this session and I can’t wait to meet your newest little one. I hope you love these images as much as I loved capturing them.

Northup Family Session | Austin, Texas

The Northup family got back in front of my lens! It was great getting to work with them again so shortly after Charlotte’s first birthday session.

    Unfortunately, this session was bittersweet…

I first met Shannon and Ileana for their announcement photoshoot right before the holidays. No one knew that they were pregnant yet and it was loads of fun getting to create photos for their announcement.

Before we knew it, it was time for maternity photos. I loved getting to be a part of this beautiful milestone for them as well. Not only did they look amazing, but it was easy to see how excited they were to meet their little girl.

I got to first meet Charlotte during the holidays, which tends to always bring the Northup family and I together. She was too adorable and so small still! I couldn’t have been happier to finally get to meet her in person for the first time.

Somehow the time just flies by and now she’s running around with no end of energy in sight, giggling nonstop. She is truly the sweetest little girl! I love every time I get to photograph this beautiful family. They have so much love for one another.

This session was extra special and emotional because Shannon had to leave for deployment. Doing Christmas family photos for them early this year was bittersweet. I was so happy to be able to capture these memories for them, but it was hard to know he won’t be with Ileana and Charlotte for a while. I sincerely am looking forward to the best reunion photoshoot for these three once he is back!

Northup family, thank you for always asking me to be a part of your milestones. You’re such beautiful people inside and out. Getting to watch Charlotte grow up, and your love for one another only continue to grow is truly beautiful.
Be safe, Shannon. Thank you for all that you do!

Boone Family Photoshoot | Austin, Texas

The Boone family is growing!!! Talk about being apart of a family milestones. It’s hard to believe that I met this family a few years ago already. Remy was barely sitting up on his own and now he is about to be three!

Getting to be a part of every one of his birthday photoshoots is a tradition I truly love being a part of. What is more fun than getting to see a family grow over the years.

For Remy’s first birthday we got to do photos of him with the most adorable cake, also by the water. He was such a cutie and I remember being so excited to see them again after so long. It was insane how much he had changed and I loved getting to see the first photoshoot we did next to those images.

His second birthday he was in love with his toys and books. Getting to include those in the images was so sweet. Especially the photos of Clayton and Kate reading to him.

This year, while Remy wasn’t as excited for the photoshoot, we got such cute photos of him by the water. It’s really special getting to be a part of his life as he gets older and getting to see him change and grow.

When I found out that the Boone family was expecting again, I couldn’t be more excited! It was perfect to do some maternity photos and birthday shots all in one session for them. I think this park was truly perfect for what they wanted to include in their images and these memories are so amazing to look through and compare to the last couple of years we’ve worked together.

Boone family, thank you for always letting me be a part of these milestones for you. I love working with you every year. You guys are truly so amazing to work with and be around. I look forward to many more milestones with you all. I sincerely cannot wait to meet your new little one! Here’s to capturing many more beautiful memories with you!

    Ava’s Photoshoot | Georgetown, Texas

Ava is back in front of my camera! I was excited to have her model a new location I found. A cute little hidden gem in Georgetown!

When I first worked with Ava to capture her senior portraits, her energy was so contagious. Being around her makes you instantly feel happy and you end up laughing nonstop.

Getting to work with other creative people is always fun. It really helps to recharge your own creative energy. Sometimes when working in an industry like photography, it’s easy to get burnt out and feel as though you’re out of ideas. Because of this, it’s so important to have days off to recharge, and refresh. When I work with my clients I want to make sure that I am able to give them my full creativity and effort.

Often when I am able to get days off, I use them to location scout with my pups. When I found a few new parks that I wanted to add to my location guide, I instantly thought of Ava. I was so happy that when I contacted her she was more than happy to help model for one of them.

I chose this park to have her model at because I truly think it’s gorgeous and is a great location for seniors and couples. Family sessions would definitely be gorgeous here but it’s a little smaller for most of the families I work with. For anyone who’s willing to get in the water, this is definitely the park for you. It’s shallow but standing in the middle, versus to the side, makes all the difference. We were able to capture such beautiful images and lots of variety in such a small amount of time.

Ava, thank you so much for once again entrusting my vision and letting me put this together. I truly appreciate you being a part of it and taking the time out to model in front of my camera again. I look forward to working with you more in the future!
