Walker Anniversary Session | Cedar Park, Texas

It’s Jaron and Loretta’s 15th wedding anniversary!!

Getting to meet and work with Jaron and Loretta was not only lots of fun, but reminded me of so many reasons why I fell in love with this career…

When they got out of the car and I saw her beautiful lace dress with his cowboy hat and both of them wearing boots I was already in love with this session!

Getting to know these two was amazing. It was easy to feel as though I had known them for years and we had a blast. I’m so glad they chose this location, I feel like it truly fit their vision for their photos and their outfits.

Fifteen years is a long time and definitely deserved to be celebrated with a photoshoot! When they told me that they met in high school and have been together ever since I was so happy for them. This beautiful love that they found so early on and have grown together. Raising beautiful kids with one another and getting through the last fifteen years only loving one another more.

By looking at these photos, it’s hard to believe that they had never done professional photos before. Their chemistry is unmatched! Having them in front of my lens showcasing their love and chemistry was easy and natural to capture.

A lot of my more interactive poses are prompted. I try to help families and couples achieve sincere sweet moments by posing them in such a way where real emotions and reactions take place. Sometimes when I put couples really close together they will start laughing because it feels so awkward. I promise you, it looks BEAUTIFUL! As you can see throughout this blog post… However, without a doubt my favorite part of this entire session was when I had Jaron and Loretta go nose to nose by the water and after I got the shot I asked them ‘how long has it been since you looked into each other’s eyes’ and they laughed and said ‘last night’. Instantly I loved their love for one another.

Truthfully, a love like their’s is remarkable and so very beautiful. To find someone who is your best friend and partner, someone that you continue to fall in love with as the years go by… That is something special. I wish this for everyone out there and I know it isn’t easy to find.

Loretta and Jaron, thank you for asking me to be a part of capturing these stunning memories of you both. I hope you love and cherish them for the next fifteen years and beyond! I cannot wait to work with you both again and to get to meet your gorgeous kids. You two are such beautiful people, inside and out. Working with you both truly made my entire week.

Happy Anniversary!

Ava’s Senior Portrait Session | Pflugerville, Texas

Ava is a senior!!!! When I got Ava’s inquiry for a senior portrait session, I loved her energy from the very beginning. She was so enthusiastic to get her senior portraits taken. She knew exactly what she wanted to do and how she wanted them to look. My style fit her vision for the end result and we immediately started to collaborate on locations and ideas.

I’m so fortunate to work with so many amazing clients. I can confidently say that the majority of my clients do have an appreciation for my style, and similar visions for their sessions that I do. However, some clients, like Ava are the perfect match. It’s fun to get to bounce ideas off one another and create magic together!

Our original location ended up getting taken off the table. The field we wanted to use got mowed down so our dreamy, whispy grass was gone. However, I think it almost worked out for the best.

This location in Pflugerville is extremely underrated for the variety that it is able to offer. Most people don’t know that it even exists and every time I bring them here they’re so shocked at all the little hidden gems it includes.

I have only recently started to use the abandoned blue building and long grass, but it is absolutely one of my favorite parts as well as the rock overhang. There are not many places where you can find all of these aspects in one spot without having to drive somewhere else.

When clients are so happy and excited about how their images are turning out throughout their session, it definitely makes your photographer that much more happy. I was smiling throughout not only photographing this session, but also editing it. Ava and her Mum were amazing to work with. I sincerely loved every second of getting to know them.

Getting to bring Ava’s vision to life was truly an honor. She’s lots of fun to work with and such an amazing person to be around. Her excitement about these photos every time I’d show her the back of the camera was contagious. I sincerely couldn’t wait to get home and get some of these images edited to show her. When it came time for me to post her sneak peek, I sincerely couldn’t choose just one… As you can see below, it was hard to even narrow down the images included in this blog post!

Ava, thank you for asking me to be a part of capturing this amazing and exciting time in your life. I cannot wait to see what you accomplish and achieve in life after high school. You are truly a beautiful person inside and out. I couldn’t have been happier to have been a part of photographing this session for you. Thank you for trusting me with your vision and for giving me so much creative flexibility. I cannot wait for you to see your full gallery and to work with you again in the future!

Dunn Maternity Session | Cedar Park, Texas

I couldn’t be more excited to be sharing this stunning maternity session with you all! This is without a doubt now one of my favorite maternity sessions to date.

Getting to meet and work with Scott and Courtney was amazing. They were both so much fun to be around. I sincerely loved every second of the session! All we did was laugh throughout and created nothing short of stunning photos for them to look back on.

Both of Courtney’s dresses were stunning! Nothing makes me happier than being told that my clients found my style guide extremely helpful. I especially loved that she decided to do a completely different style for the second dress she wore. Adding variety like this makes all the difference. Ending the session with the white dress with such a beautiful long train was perfect! Scott looked great in both of his outfits and the colours complimented Courtney’s dresses perfectly. (I always remind my clients to compliment colours, not to match!)

I couldn’t be happier for the weather and sunset we got for their session. We even had a little breeze and the sunset glow behind the trees was stunning.

The love and chemistry between these two was the sweetest. It was easy to capture such beautiful and sincere moments of them on camera when it showed so naturally.

My favorite part about photographing maternity sessions is of course making expecting mums feel stunning! Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and to be able to see themselves how everyone else does. Giving my clients the opportunity to dress up and feel gorgeous is the best part.

My second favorite aspect of these sessions is photographing the couple’s love and excitement for their baby. There is something so extra beautiful about capturing this milestone in a couple’s life. Getting to be a part of something so special is truly an honor. Meeting and working with couples like Scott and Courtney make it that much better.

Dunn family, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this time in your lives. You both are such amazing and gorgeous people inside and out. I loved every part of working with you both. These images are stunning and I hope you both love them as much as I do. I look forward to working with you guys again in the future.

    Tvinnereim Wedding | Leander, Texas

Mike and Heather tied the knot!

No one, not even COVID was going to stop these two families from becoming one. What better way to celebrate your love for one another than with a micro wedding with your closest family and friends??

Getting to be a part of this special day for Heather and Mike was truly an honor. I met them and their four amazing children when I photographed their family and engagement session all in one.

After spending only a few minutes with them, I felt as though I had known them for years! This family is beautiful inside and out. You can’t help but have an amazing time when you’re around them. They are the sweetest and kindhearted people you’ll ever meet.

During the reception when listening to their friends and family give speeches, it was easy to see that they belong with one another. The amount of selflessness they have shown and continue to show all those they meet is remarkable.

Having clients that are so full of love not only for one another, but for everyone around them is the best feeling.

Getting to be a part of not only Mike and Heather coming together, but their four kids as well was extremely special. All four kids are such gems and it’s easy to tell that they’re raised in a house full of love.

Unfortunately COVID did put a glitch in their original date and guest list. However, once things started to reopen they set a new date! We were all determined for this family to have a gorgeous wedding no matter what. There may not have been as many friends and family in attendance, but those who couldn’t travel tuned in live on Facebook to watch the ceremony.

Throughout any hiccups that may have occurred in the overall change of plans, Mike and Heather handled it perfectly. When catering fell through, Mike took to the grill and they both cooked a beautiful dinner for everyone.

I know the love between these two will never fail. Every moment of this day, and all the days leading up to it were filled with nothing but love, laughter, kindness and happiness.

Mike and Heather, I couldn’t be happier for you both and to have been a part of this beautiful day. Thank you for asking me to capture these beautiful memories for you. I look forward to seeing you all celebrating many more years together.

What song did you walk down the aisle to? What made you choose that song?: Can’t Help Falling in love by Kina Grannis. Mike and I struggled with falling in love and how it would effect our lives, especially our children. This song was about falling in love despite all odds of the world.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day & why? At the end of the evening, just when the band was about to leave. Everyone was out on the dance floor and we all made a circle, held hands and sang together. It was Purple Rain. LOL! What a beautiful memory.

Are you glad that you did a first look? Yes! It was so fun to see how Mike reacted to my dress that day.

Mike, what did you think when you first met Heather? She was beautiful, smart, fun and spontaneous. I fell in love with her fast and hard.

Heather, what did you think when you first met Mike? Mike was boisterous and fun, but his kind and giving heart is what made me fall for him. He is an amazing dad and friend. Loves his family and friends. Never knows a stranger. He pushes me to be better.
